The 2024 MLB Season is just a few weeks away and doubleheaders return to Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 29. The streaming platform will launch things off with a Week 1 matchup featuring the New York Yankees visiting the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the St. Louis Cardinals.
For the upcoming season, MLB fans in 60 countries can enjoy the best players in the world competing in two matchups on Friday night over 26 weeks. The best part is there aren’t any local broadcast restrictions. Since 2022, MLB has called Apple TV+ the exclusive home for Friday Night Baseball. The deal allows the streaming platform to host a doubleheader throughout the regular season and a pre-game and post-game show.
“We’re so excited to bring fans another great season of ‘Friday Night Baseball’ on Apple TV+,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services. “We have an outstanding lineup of games for Apple TV+ subscribers to watch across all their favorite devices, and an incredible group of talented broadcasters returning to bring fans closer to the games every week.”
As part of the Apple deal, subscribers can watch MLB Big Inning, a live show that features highlights and look-ins every weeknight during the regular season on Apple TV+. This year, subscribers can watch MLB Big Innining beginning on Thursday, March 28 in the U.S. Plus, baseball fans will also be able to access MLB game replays, news, analysis, highlights, classic games, and more content 24/7 on-demand. Other MLB content available on the streamer include Countdown to First Pitch, MLB Daily Recap, and MLB This Week.
