Yahoo Launches its First Smartphone on Yahoo Mobile

Yahoo is diving deeper into the world of mobile, announcing today the launch of its first ever smartphone, the Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y.

The phone features an 8MP rear-camera dual flash and 5MP front-facing camera flash, a 5.4 inch 720HD display, rear fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature, and the Android 10 operating system. The phone costs $49.99.

Earlier this year, we reported that Yahoo was launching a mobile service under Verizon after Yahoo was sold to Verizon in 2017.

The Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y is available as part of Yahoo Mobile’s phone service on the Verizon network. The phone will include pre-installed Yahoo apps including Yahoo Mail and content from Yahoo News, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Sports, and more.

With Yahoo Mobile, you’ll get:

  • Unlimited text, talk, and data
  • Unlimited mobile hotspot† for use with one connected device at a time
  • Yahoo Mail Pro for ad-free email
  • Account Pro for 24/7 Yahoo account customer service
  • On Verizon’s 4G LTE Network
  • All for $39.99/month with no annual contract
