For a few weeks now, we have known about a new $19.88 Google TV Onn dongle that is coming from Walmart. Are you looking for a cheap 4K streaming player? This new device will be the cheapest 4K Google TV device on the market and will be sold under the Walmart Onn brand.

Now we are finally getting a release date for the new 4K Google TV device, according to Walmart Employees. Multiple Walmart Employees have told Cord Cutters News that Walmart will release the new 4K Google TV dongle on May 1st in stores and online.
This May 1st release date is subject to change, and there have been rumors Walmart may move the date up.
Walmart stores have already received shipments of the new 4K Dongle. This has resulted in some stores mistakenly putting them on shelves early. Sadly for anyone who tries to buy them, Walmarts system blocks them from ringing up, informing staff that they can’t sell that device until May 1st.
For some time, Walmart sold both Android TV and Roku streaming players under the Onn brand. Recently they have only been selling smart TVs with built-in streaming players now though it looks like Walmart is about to get back into the streaming player business with this new device.
This new device is fairly powerful for the price, with 2GB of ram and a respectable processor. Though compared to the $50 Chromecast with Google TV 4K, this device is not as powerful, but for less than half the price, it is a good deal.
Walmart already has the dongle listed on its website but as out of stock. Look for this to hit stores soon.
