T-Mobile is ending its “Apple TV+ On Us” perk for some customers, replacing it with a $3 monthly charge starting January 1, 2026. The change applies to premium plans like Magenta MAX and Go5G Plus, which previously included Apple TV+ at no cost.

The news was confirmed by The Mobile Report.

What’s Changing?

Impacted customers have begun receiving text messages from T-Mobile informing them of the change. The free Apple TV+ perk will no longer be fully covered. Instead, users will be charged $3 per month beginning in January 2026. The change comes in response to Apple’s recent price increase for Apple TV+, which went from $9.99/month to $12.99/month in August 2025.

T-Mobile is choosing to pass that $3 price hike directly onto the consumer, rather than absorbing the cost.

What About Customers Already Paying Through T-Mobile?

If you’re currently paying $9.99/month for Apple TV+ through your T-Mobile bill, your monthly charge will also rise to $12.99/month starting January 1. This aligns your pricing with Apple’s current direct-to-consumer rate.

Can You Cancel?

Yes. If you don’t want to pay the new $3 charge, you can remove the Apple TV+ add-on from your account before the end of the year. According to T-Mobile, customers must log in through their T-Mobile account or the T-Life app, and only the Primary Account Holder or an Authorized User can manage or remove the feature.

Once removed, billing through T-Mobile will stop immediately.

T-Mobile has a history of including streaming perks in its premium plans, covering services like Netflix even after pricing changes. But in this case, the Apple TV+ increase is being passed on directly to customers.

For those who selected their plans specifically for bundled streaming perks, this change may come as a disappointment. However, billing through T-Mobile remains available for those who prefer to keep the service and consolidate monthly charges.

Check your T-Mobile messages or log into your account to see if you’re affected. The deadline to make changes before the $3 fee takes effect is January 1, 2026.
