Sling TV saw an increase in subscribers for Q3, Dish announced in its quarterly earnings report today. The streaming service added 203,000 subscribers, bringing the total count to 2.46 million. While Sling TV saw an uptick for the quarter, total subscriber numbers are still down year over year. In Q3 2019, the service reported 2.69 million subscribers.

Dish TV saw a loss of around 87,000 subscribers for the quarter for a net gain of 116,000 pay TV subscribers for the company in Q3 2020.

Sling TV has been winning subscribers by adding content to its lineup, including the addition of the Big Ten Network last month. Sling has also been promoting the Sling Free section which allows anyone to watch select live and on-demand content at no cost and with no credit card required.

Sling is the third largest live TV streaming service with its 2.46 million subscribers. Hulu maintains its lead with 3.4 million subscribers reported last quarter and YouTube TV recently reporting over 3 million subscribers.
