Prime Video just landed its first college sports deal, and it is starting with one of the biggest names in the game. Duke and the streamer have come to a multiyear agreement that will bring exclusive Prime Video coverage of three Duke men’s basketball neutral-site nonconference games per season beginning this fall.

The package will open on Nov. 25, 2026, when Duke faces UConn in Las Vegas, continue on Dec. 21 against Michigan at Madison Square Garden, and wrap on Feb. 20, 2027, against Gonzaga in Detroit. All three games will be produced by Prime Video.

The move gives Duke another national stage for showcase matchups, while giving Prime Video a new lane in college basketball. Duke called the deal Prime Video’s first college sports relationship, and the Blue Devils are coming off another strong run in the ACC, including a conference tournament title and a preseason favorite nod from the league.

Duke’s media rights setup adds another layer, but most of their games still fall under the Atlantic Coast Conference’s long-term agreement with ESPN. The Cameron Crazies can stream the majority of ACC matchups across ESPN’s family of networks and streaming platforms.

At the same time, ESPN has also sublicensed select ACC games to The CW, including some Duke appearances. That agreement is part of the conference’s expanded distribution strategy to reach broader audiences over the air. Beginning this summer, the ESPN app will become the exclusive streaming home for CW Sports.

“In addition to our outstanding partnership with ESPN, we are excited to work with Prime Video on this groundbreaking initiative,” said Nina King, Vice President and King-Compton Families Director of Athletics, Duke. “As Prime Video’s first college sports partner, this collaboration not only expands the global reach of Duke Men’s Basketball, but also creates meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes in a way that reflects innovation and excellence.”

The Prime Video package specifically focuses on high-profile, neutral-site nonconference games that fall outside the traditional ACC media deal. Amazon has spent the past few years loading up the service with live sports across the top leagues. The platform is home to an 11-year NBA and WNBA rights deal, Masters coverage, exclusive NASCAR Cup Series races, NFL games, and other sports destinations.

“It’s exciting to bring this relationship with Duke University to life, and we’re looking forward to presenting this premium college basketball showcase to fans around the world next season and beyond,” said Charlie Neiman, Head of Sports Partnerships, Prime Video. “Duke basketball games transcend the schedule, and the creation of this all-new offering gives fans more of what we all want, marquee matchups featuring the most successful programs in the nation.”

The latest deal is another example of Prime Video expanding beyond movies and shows. Now one of college basketball’s Blue Bloods is part of that expansion, giving subscribers more to watch and appointment viewing.
