“When you’re delivering a global event of this magnitude on Netflix, every detail matters, especially the voices telling the story,” said Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions. “This broadcast team represents the absolute best in boxing, sports media, and live television. From legendary champions to world-class broadcasters, this group reflects the standard we’ve set for Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day. Together with Netflix, we’re building a fight week and fight night experience that feels truly historic, and this team is central to bringing that vision to life for fans around the world.”

Jake Paul’s Toughest Fight Yet

This matchup came together after earlier plans shifted. Originally, Jake Paul was slated to face Gervonta “Tank” Davis last month, but that exhibition was canceled amid Davis’ legal issues. MVP and Netflix subsequently pivoted and began lining up “The Problem Child” with a high-profile opponent.

Reports in November indicated Anthony Joshua was being finalized as the replacement, and Netflix later made the event official as an eight-round heavyweight bout headlining on Friday, December 19, at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Joshua, an Olympic gold medalist, will be the toughest opponent Paul has faced in his boxing career.

What started as a last-minute scramble has turned into a full-blown Netflix spectacle featuring a star broadcast roster. Cord cutters can tune into Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day, streaming live only on Netflix on Friday, December 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
