Another animated franchise is taking over sports, as tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals will have the first ever The Simpsons Funday Football telecast. The special broadcast will be available to stream live on ESPN+ and Disney+.
The NFL tackles Springfield in the first-of-its-kind animated game to take place in The Simpsons universe. Viewers will experience a fully immersive, real-time, animated viewing experience for fans of all ages featuring iconic characters Bart and Homer, who will lead the Bengals and Cowboys, respectively, at a game taking place live from Atoms Stadium in Springfield.
During the game, Simpsons fans will recognize the voices of Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, and Yeardley Smith who provided voiceovers for their characters. In the booth, Mina Kimes, and Dan Orlovsky will provide analysis, with Drew Carter handling the play-by-play calls during The Simpsons Funday Football. Stephen A. Smith and the Manning Bros. will also make a cameo during the game.
In addition to the animated broadcast, football fans can tune in to the traditional Monday Night Football telecast with Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Lisa Salters, and get Peyton and Eli Manning’s insight on the final ManningCast of the regular season.
