Many people have decided to cut the cord due to the rising prices of cable and satellite. Spectrum, which is the trade name of Charter Communications, serves more than 32 million customers in 41 states. As the second-largest cable operator and the third-largest pay TV operator in the US, the company has seen a dramatic increase in prices over the years.

Recently, it was reported that Spectrum is increasing the prices of their internet, TV, and phone services, which could mean subscribers are ready to ditch for more affordable options. With the rise of popularity in streaming, consumers have more choices than ever when deciding if they want to escape the high prices and increasing fees of cable or satellite, long-term contracts and bulky equipment.

Today, we’re going to explore how to cancel Spectrum and still enjoy your favorite shows, movies, sports, and more on a streaming service.

How to Cancel Your Spectrum Service

If you’re a Spectrum customer and looking to explore other options then your first step would be contacting Spectrum to cancel your service. Please keep in mind that you may have to return equipment after canceling. There are two ways that you can cancel your service: online or on the phone.

How to Cancel Your Spectrum Service Online

Spectrum offers a Chat feature on their website where you can type “cancel service,” however, if an agent isn’t available then it’ll direct you to call their number to “disconnect service.”

How to Cancel Your Spectrum Service Over the Phone

If you’re not able to chat with an agent or cancel online then you can contact Spectrum at (833) 267-6094 to speak with an agent about terminating your service. Keep an eye on your final bill after canceling to make sure you’re not overcharged and that the service was canceled.

Choosing the Right Streaming Service

Now that you’ve canceled Spectrum, deciding which streaming service to subscribe to could pose a challenge but we’re here to help make that decision easier for you. Most major streaming services can be found on popular devices such as Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and more and you can watch your favorite shows, sports, movies, events, and more from anywhere with an internet connection. Plus, there aren’t any hidden fees, or contracts when it comes to streaming live content.

The most popular live TV streaming services include DIRECTV STREAMfubo, Sling TV, PhiloHulu with live TV, Vidgo, and YouTube TV. You can see the channel lineup for each service in the chart, below.
