In a major jab to the boxing world, Most Valuable Promotions is launching MVPW, a dedicated global platform for women’s boxing. The upstart has secured a multi-year rights deal in the U.S. that will air cards on the ESPN App and ESPN linear channels through 2028.

Co‑founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, MVPW will launch in London on Sunday, April 5, with its first global event, MVPW‑01. The series then heads to Madison Square Garden for MVPW‑02, marking the brand’s U.S. debut, and tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com. At MVPW-03, the promotion heads to El Paso, with a WBA Lightweight world championship rematch between Stephanie Han and Holly Holm.

The launch brings a year-round schedule of championship-level cards and represents a major distribution milestone for women’s boxing. By keeping high-stakes championship boxing accessible to app viewers and not strictly pay-per-view, subscribers can watch big fights without additional PPV fees.

“MVPW brings together some of the most accomplished and dynamic championship athletes in boxing, competing on a stage that reflects the magnitude of their talent,” said Rosalyn Durant, ESPN Executive Vice President, Programming & Acquisitions. “We’re proud to bring these championship matchups to ESPN and the ESPN App and further elevate women’s boxing for fans across the country.”

Announced MVPW Events

  • MVPW-01 — Sunday, April 5 (London): Featuring Caroline Dubois vs. Terri Harper and Ellie Scotney vs. Mayelli Flores
  • MVPW-02 — Friday, April 17 (Madison Square Garden, NYC): Headlined by Alychia Baumgardner vs. Bo Mi Re Shin for MVP’s unified super featherweight world championship. Co-main event for MVP’s unified super middleweight world championship, Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green defends against Lani Daniels.
  • MVPW-03 — Saturday, May 30 (El Paso, Texas): Headlined by Stephanie Han vs. Holly Holm in a rematch for the WBA lightweight world title.

MVP’s commitment to women’s boxing isn’t new. The promotion was also behind the historic Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano trilogy event on Netflix, which headlined the first-ever all-women’s professional boxing card at Madison Square Garden. The groundbreaking card featured multiple world title fights, helping push women’s boxing further into the mainstream by showcasing top talent from around the world and proving there’s a major global audience for elite women’s fight cards.

“Since inception MVP has strategically focused on creating an umbrella brand as the global home for women’s boxing, with the best fighters in the world, that engages existing boxing fans and attracts untapped fan demographics that embrace women’s sport, and today, we proudly enter a new era,” said Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. ”Over the past five years, we have invested heavily in female athletes, delivered historic and record-breaking events, and proven that these athletes belong on the biggest stages in the sport. Partnering with ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports, to launch MVPW across its platforms is a historic milestone, and aligning with the world’s most iconic venue, Madison Square Garden, as we introduce the brand in the U.S. reinforces the scale and ambition behind what we are building.”

Beyond the boxing ring, MVP continues to push boundaries across the broader fight landscape. In 2026, MVP teamed up with Netflix to stage a blockbuster MMA superfight between trailblazers Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, marking Rousey’s return to the cage after nearly a decade. The bout is scheduled for May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and will stream globally on Netflix as the platform’s first live MMA event. The five-round featherweight showdown brings together two pioneers who helped popularize women’s MMA and highlights MVP’s strategy of delivering major combat sports events on streaming platforms.
