Dr. Phil McGraw’s new TV network, Merit Street Media is set to launch on Trinity Broadcast Network on February 26, 2024, according to Next TV.
Trinity Broadcast Network is home of more than 30 TV stations and has carriage deals with DIRECTV and DISH as well as other cable and satellite systems. Merit Street is also looking into making its content available through free, ad-supported streaming and other platforms.
The network will be anchored by Dr. Phil Primetime, which will premiere nightly at 8 p.m. ET will likely look similar to McGraw’s original talk show, which ran for 21 years.
“We are thrilled to embark on this groundbreaking journey by creating a network that is not only widely accessible but also a hub for diverse, engaging content,” Joel Cheatwood, Merit Street Media’s chief operating officer in a statement. “With our commitment to delivering high-quality programming across multiple platforms, we anticipate Merit Street will be a trailblazer among networks.”
McGraw announced his return to TV last month. Merit Street Media will offer news and entertainment programming. The network plans to add more content in the future like true crime, family-friendly shows, and other TV personalities.
