Today, Dr. Phil announced he will be returning to TV on his own network called Merit Street Media.

Merit Street Media will offer news and entertainment programming as a 24/7 network on cable TV and streaming services. There will also be a new nightly show called Dr. Phil Primetime, which will air at 8 pm Eastern starting February 26, 2024.

Very little is known about what else will air on the network. What we do know is the network will be based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Dr. Phil McGraw is building a state-of-the-art broadcast center that will sit on over 5 acres of land. Reportedly, many of the long-time staffers from the Dr. Phil show have relocated to the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area to help with the new network.

“I absolutely love talking to real people about real problems. People who aren’t just complaining but are actively looking for real solutions to better their lives,” said McGraw. “American families and our core values are under attack. I love this country, and I believe family is the backbone of our society. Together we are going to stand strong and fight for the very soul and sanity of America and get things that matter back on track.” McGraw continues to receive thousands of requests from viewers seeking advice. “As always, the audience will dictate our content because they are our content, and I want my viewer’s help in building MERIT STREET. I continue my pledge to help individuals, couples, and families have the tough conversations, face the hard realities, and get real answers for the most positive and effective outcome.”

This news comes just a few months after the Dr. Phil show ended a 21-season run on broadcast TV. Now, he seems to be following in the footsteps of Oprah by starting his own cable TV network.

At this time, the new network has not announced any cable or streaming services that will stream air on this new network yet. As we learn more we will post updates.
