MCU fans who stuck around for the closing credits of the final episode of Loki on Wednesday were delighted with the news that the God of Mischief will definitely be returning to our screens again. While the ending credits were rolling, Loki’s file was stamped with a big “Loki will return in season 2,” in red ink, confirming it had been renewed by Disney+.

The series has seen quite a successful run, so it’s no wonder the streamer has renewed it for a second season, The Wednesday premiere of the highly anticipated Loki series quickly secured its spot as Disney+’s most-watched MCU title as far as day-one viewership goes. The God of Mischief’s own series drew in views from 890k households on its first day, beating out the previous record held by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (759k). WandaVision is in third place at 655k views on its first day.

It also cemented its place as the series with the biggest opening weekend of Q2 this year, beating out its closest competitor, The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 on Hulu.

No premiere date has been given for season two of Loki yet.
