Conviva: 36.3% of Super Bowl Big Screen Viewership was on Roku

More data surrounding the weekend’s Big Game keeps piling in, and much of it points toward how streaming is booming. Conviva released its Super Bowl 2022 report, and the findings show that more than 30% of viewers watched the event via connected TVs, followed closely by smart TVs at 33.5%.

Of those, Roku proved to be the most popular device cornering 36.3% of viewership. Amazon Fire TV came in second at 19.4%, with Samsung TV’s 12.8% following behind. All three accounted for an impressive 68.5% of viewing share.

According to the data, 78.4% of all viewing was on the big screen, which includes connected TV devices, smart TVs, and gaming consoles. Gaming consoles came in at 6.5% while mobile phones took 13.9% of viewing time, desktops had 5.4% share, and tablets came up last with 2%.
