DVR
A PlayStation Vue Core subscription came with “unlimited” Cloud DVR storage, allowing users to record up to 500 programs. Your content is saved for 28 days.
YouTube TV has unlimited DVR storage space. For some programs in your library, you may be able to select your preferred format—recording or video on-demand—when you start watching.
Did YouTube TV Buy PlayStation Vue?
No. There was some confusion when PlayStation Vue began recommending YouTube TV to current subscribers when the streaming service shuts down. YouTube TV did not buy the service, the company just won a bid to have its service recommended in emails and on the website.
Can YouTube TV Replace PlayStation Vue?
With similar DVR features, channel lineups, and price points, YouTube TV has been a popular option among those who are losing their subscription to PlayStation Vue. One factor holding some viewers back was lack of support for the PlayStation 4. YouTube TV addressed that problem by recently announcing that PlayStation 4 support will be added soon.
