Back in November, we shared the news about rumors of a Friends reunion special in the works for HBO Max. At that time, there were mixed messages, with Jennifer Anniston hinting at a reunion on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, but the show’s original producers denying the rumors.

Now AT&T has confirmed that a reunion special is happening, with all six stars of the series on board. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry have reportedly reached an agreement that will give them each a $3-4 million paycheck for the special. Co-creators and executive producers Marta Kauffman and David Crane are also expected to have a part in the special.

After being removed from Netflix at the beginning of this year, Friends will play a big part in drawing subscribers in for HBO Max when the streaming service launches this May. HBO Max paid $425 million to have exclusive streaming rights to the series.
