CBS is doubling down on its winning lineup. The network behind Paramount+ has renewed 10 more shows for the upcoming 2026–2027 broadcast season, bringing its total confirmed returning series to 16 with more renewals expected.
According to Nielsen ratings from September 22, 2025 to January 11, 2026, CBS currently claims five of the top 10 and 11 of the top 20 most-watched entertainment shows on broadcast television.
Newly Renewed Series for 2026–2027
CBS announced the following 10 series will return next season:
- Tracker – The #1 series on television
- Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage – The #1 comedy
- Matlock – Thursday night’s top-rated entertainment show
- Elsbeth – Freshman legal dramedy
- Fire Country – High-stakes action drama
- NCIS – Long-running flagship series
- NCIS: Origins – Prequel spin-off
- NCIS: Sydney – International spin-off
- Survivor – Reality competition juggernaut
- The Amazing Race – Longtime fan-favorite reality series
Among the renewals are the current #1 series on television, Tracker, and the #1 comedy, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. Legal drama Matlock, which dominates Thursday nights, will also return, alongside freshman hit Elsbeth and firefighter drama Fire Country.
The NCIS franchise remains alive and well, with the flagship NCIS, prequel NCIS: Origins, and international spin-off NCIS: Sydney all returning. Rounding out the renewals are longtime unscripted staples Survivor and The Amazing Race.
