PurlDisney+ had a successful launch and viewers have been talking about the best new shows and the nostalgia of watching childhood favorites across social media. If you’ve signed up for a Disney+ subscription, these tips might help you save time, save money, and create a better viewing experience for the whole family.

1.Save Money on Your Subscription by Bundling or Getting a Deal

A Disney+ is already relatively affordable at $5.99/month, but there are a couple of ways to save money on streaming subscriptions. First is bundling. The Disney Bundle includes Hulu with Limited Ads, ESPN+, and Disney+ for $12.99/month. If you want (or are already using) all three services, you can save some money by bundling. Follow these instructions to sign up.

Verizon Unlimited customers can get a Disney+ subscription for free. If you have a Verizon Unlimited phone plan, the exclusive wireless carrier of Disney+ will give you a one year free subscription. Check out this post for more details.

2. Use the Kids Profile Option to Set Parental Controls

Disney+ allows users to create up to 7 profiles per account. Parents can choose to make any of those profiles Kid profiles. Doing this gives parents more control of what kids are watching and how much they’re watching.

When profiles are set to Kids Profile, it will generally only allow access to titles rated TV-7FV and G. Disney+ does mention that based on local ratings and cultural sensitivities, some titles may not be accessible while others with a PG rating will be accessible.

Disney+ hasn’t yet added the ability to set time limits for kids’ viewing times. However, if you click on the profile to edit, you can choose to turn off the Autoplay feature. This stops the next episode from automatically playing, so you can have some control over limiting the number of episodes being watched.

3. Add Content to a Watchlist to Find it Easily Later

Some Disney+ users are finding it difficult to keep track of the content available on the platform and what they want to watch. Disney+ recently added the Watchlist feature. To add content to your watchlist, click on the title and look for the + symbol next to the play button. Click it and the title will be added. To watch content from your playlist, just click on Watchlist on the menu at the top of your screen. Your list of titles will be there.

4. Use the Restart Feature to Pick Up Where You Left Off

Along with the Watchlist feature, Disney+ added another feature to make viewing content more convenient. You now have the option to resume a show or movie where you stopped watching, or to restart and watch from the beginning. When you start a show or movie then close the app, you can now come back later, click on the title, and find a Resume button. Click that to pick up where you left off.

5. Check the Wait Time for Customer Support

One of the most common complaints from Disney+ users is the wait time to reach customer support. Disney has commented that they’ve been overwhelmed by the number of subscribers and support has been overloaded with calls. One Reddit post shared a tip about finding the right time to call if you need help.

The post says to open a chat window from the help page and immediately end the chat. That will bring up a dropdown menu. Choose contact support from that menu and you’ll get a message with the current wait time.
