YTFam Now Just Redirects Just YouTube TV Instead of Offering $19.99 Accounts

Recently YTFam was offering YouTube TV accounts for just $19.99. YTFam did this by taking advantage of one of the best features of YouTube TV is the ability to add family members to your account. This means they can have their own DVR, login, and more all on the same bill. YouTube TV allows you to have five accounts per paid YouTube TV account.

Update: YouTube sent Cord Cutters News the following statement on YTFam: “Our Terms of Service prohibit sharing accounts outside of the same household or family living together. We take these violations seriously and once notified of an infringing tool, we take appropriate action.”

The group behind YTFam creates a YouTube TV account and resells family share accounts for $19.99 a month.

Here is how YTFam described the service:

We create and manage shared accounts for YouTubeTV subscribers, so the service becomes affordable. You sign up with your own gmail account that no one else has access to.

This morning Cord Cutters News posted about the service with questions about how this service complies with YouTube TV’s policies on family share. YTFam even posted in the comments saying:

YTFam only connects people that live in the same area to create a “Family”, and only sets up 3 memberships per YYTV account. YoutubeTV allows 6 accounts, which can have conflicting streaming issues if more than three members are added. YTFam makes Google money. In addition, it’s hosted on their servers, registered on their domain registry and advertises on Google Ads.

All of the people on here who are upset about Google not making enough money reselling other company’s network services should not sign up and send their donations or condolences to: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, California.

This is not an illegal service, although people might view it as a violation of Google’s TOS but it’s not a streaming service.

Now for some unknown reason, YTFam’s website now directs people to YouTube TV’s website with no offer to sell you a YouTube TV account for $19.99. Sadly Google still has not replied to our email about YTFam and with YTFam website down we the email system to contact YTFam is also gone.

So far YTFam has not posted about their website has started to redirect to YouTube TV. We will post updates about this if we learn more.
