youtube tv logoIt has only been a few weeks since YouTube TV came to the Fire TV. Now though it has skyrocketed to be the most popular live TV streaming service on the Fire TV according to Amazon’s list of top Fire TV apps.

YouTube TV is now the 6th most popular Fire TV app right now with YouTube being the most popular. PlayStation Vue is the second most popular live TV streaming service followed by Sling TV and AT&T TV NOW.

It will be interesting to see if YouTube TV can maintain its spot at the top of this list. Often when new apps are added to the Fire TV they jump up high in the list only to drop down later. But jumping up to #6 over all and the top live TV streaming service is a larger than normal jump for a new app.

It is interesting to see PlayStation Vue as the second most popular live TV streaming service. This likely has a lot to do with Sony and Amazon’s partnership to integrate PlayStation Vue into the Fire TV channel guide could have helped pushed it to the top of the Fire TV app list.
