Late last night YouTube TV’s community manager took to Reddit to answer many of the most common questions they have been seeing about YouTube TV’s new NFL Sunday Ticket. These include multiview, payment options, and more.

Here is what YouTube TV announced on Reddit:

What platforms is NFL Sunday Ticket available on? NFL Sunday Ticket is available either as an add-on to your YouTube TV Base Plan or as a standalone offering through YouTube Primetime Channels. You can watch NFL Sunday Ticket content on the YouTube or YouTube TV app regardless of which one you purchase through. Prices can be found here.

What exactly is included in NFL Sunday Ticket? NFL Sunday Ticket allows you to watch out-of-market Sunday afternoon games, no matter where you live. Local channels like your local FOX, CBS, and NBC affiliates aren’t included in NFL Sunday Ticket and you can continue to watch these through your Base Plan.

How many streams do I get with NFL Sunday Ticket? You’ll get 2 concurrent streams at a time for NFL Sunday Ticket. Using the multiview feature only counts as one stream. A few other callouts for YouTube TV:

  • These 2 NFL Sunday Ticket streams are in addition to your 3 Base Plan streams. Each add-on within YouTube TV has its own stream limits. You can check these out by going to your profile icon > Settings > Streaming Limits.
  • If you buy the NFL Sunday Ticket + NFL RedZone bundle, NFL RedZone will count towards one of your 2 Sunday Ticket streams.
  • If you buy the Sports Plus add-on, NFL RedZone will count towards your Sports Plus streaming limits.
  • The 4K Plus add-on adds extra viewing options only for your YouTube TV Base Plan so unlimited streams will not apply for NFL Sunday Ticket content.
  • DVRing doesn’t count towards your streaming limits unless you’re watching the stream. You can DVR a game and still be able to watch 2 others, but when you start to watch the DVR stream, it’ll count towards your NFL Sunday Ticket stream limits.

Do I have the option to pay more for more than 2 concurrent streams? Not at this time, but we’ve taken this feedback and will share updates as we have them.

How can I get NFL RedZone? You can buy the NFL Sunday Ticket + NFL RedZone bundle as an add-on to your YouTube TV Base Plan or through YouTube Primetime Channels. You can also continue to buy the Sports Plus add-on which includes NFL RedZone.

Will you be offering student discounts or single team options? We aren’t currently offering student discounts or single team/individual game purchasing options.

Will multiview be available and will I be able to customize the streams? We’ve been working on some improvements to the multiview feature and it’ll be available on both YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels for NFL Sunday Ticket. Stay tuned for more specific updates as the NFL season approaches.

Can I pay for NFL Sunday Ticket monthly? Do I pay now or at the start of the season? We don’t currently offer the option to pay monthly, but are looking into more payment formats to use in the future. You’ll pay for NFL Sunday Ticket as soon as you sign up.

Can I fast-forward, rewind, pause and DVR games? You can fast-forward, rewind, and pause from the time you start watching the channel on YouTube TV or YouTube Primetime Channels. You also have the option to DVR when watching on YouTube TV.

Can I sign up through Google Play Billing, Verizon or Frontier? Google Play Billing is currently only supported on YouTube Primetime Channels, not on YouTube TV. We also don’t have the ability for integrated users to sign up right now, but stay tuned for more updates soon.

Can I share NFL Sunday Ticket with my family group? If the family manager purchases NFL Sunday Ticket, family members can also watch Sunday ticket content. You can find out more information about family group requirements here.

What devices is playback supported on? Users can watch NFL Sunday Ticket on web and mobile devices that support YouTube TV. NFL Sunday Ticket playback will also be supported on smart TVs (made in 2016 and later), select older devices, and most newer streaming devices.

Hope this is helpful. We’ve been working hard to build the best experience for NFL fans and are excited for a great season!
