A long overdue update for YouTube TV on the Android mobile app is finally allowing subscribers to switch to a dark theme.
Dark mode began rolling out to some devices in October 2018. A message on the YouTube TV support page says “This feature is still rolling out to all platforms. If it’s not available on your device yet, please try again in a few days.”
Android mobile users have been waiting for their update ever since, and now 9to5Google has reported that update 4.14.3 includes the new theme.
Here’s How to Watch YouTube TV in “Dark Theme” on Your Device:
To turn on dark theme on a web browser:
- Open YouTube TV on a web browser.
- Click your profile picture.
- Select Settings.
- Select Dark theme.
- Toggle on “Dark theme.”
To turn on dark theme on your mobile device:
- Open the YouTube TV mobile app.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Tap Settings.
- Select Dark theme.
- Choose from Dark theme, Light theme, or Use system setting.
