Cisco said that the Webex Meetings app is coming to Apple TV and Apple Watch to help remote employees stay organized and on task.

Webex helps make hybrid work seamless by enabling workers to collaborate anywhere. The tvOS 17 Continuity Camera wirelessly connects a user’s iPhone or iPad to a second-generation Apple TV 4K or newer and Apple Watch. It connects the phone or tablet’s camera and microphone to meetings on the big screen in your home or office instead of your computer or phone.

Since 2020, the number of remote and hybrid workers has jumped to 12.7% and 28.2% respectively, according to Forbes. Cisco has been developing apps to help streamline tasks, such as using AirPlay on Cisco Collaboration Devices, so workers can better organize their work lives and efficiently multitask.

“Hybrid work at its best means offering secure, flexible, and seamless communication,” said Jeetu Patel, executive vice president and general manager of security and collaboration at Cisco. “Webex App for Apple Watch available from the App Store allows you to start your day by viewing a list of upcoming meetings and join them with a single touch in audio-only mode. Users can listen and participate in a Webex meeting using just their Apple Watch and AirPods.”

Last year, Cisco launched innovations for Apple, including Picture-in-Picture, Mobile Camera Share, and Webex for Apple CarPlay, which lets users transition from Mac to iPhone. In March, the company released Webex for iPad, which helps manage tasks through Multiple Windows and Stage Manager.

The Webex app isn’t available yet, though Cisco says it will be soon. Users can download the app from the Apple TV App Store. Once installed, scan the QR code with an iPhone to log in. While at the App Store, check out Cisco’s full suite of apps designed to help remote workers be efficient multitaskers.
