DECADES TV Network is hosting “A Toast to Twilight” New Year’s Celebration on December 31st with a two-day marathon of The Twilight Zone including special guests and timeless episodes of the classic, Sci-Fi thriller series. This will be the second year in a row the TV channel has hosted this special New Year’s event.
The marathon will begin at 7 am EST on New Year’s Eve and continue all through New Year’s Day. The marathon will feature classic episodes including “Monsters Are Due on Maple Street”, “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” and “The Eye of the Beholder.” In addition, viewers can watch episodes with special guest appearances by Carol Burnett, Art Carney, Robert Redford, William Shatner, Anne Francis, Charles Bronson, and Elizabeth Montgomery.
Created and hosted by Rod Sterling, The Twilight Zone first aired on CBS in 1954 and ran until 1964. Since then, reruns have been played countless times and the show has since become a classic in the way of psychological thrillers. It’s storytelling style usually features a moral to the story and informs viewers of social issues present during the 1960s. Since the original series, the show has had several revivals, including the most recent version on CBS All Access hosted by Jordan Peele.
