MLB Network has increasingly become harder to find as YouTube TV dropped it for cord-cutters a few years ago. Now today MLB has announced a new direct-to-consumer streaming service that will cost just $5.99 a month or $6.99 a month if you also want the At Bat option.

With this Cord Cutters can watch MLB Network as its own channel making it a great add-on to YouTube TV for example or MLB.TV.

“As the way viewers consume content continues to evolve, we are excited for baseball fans to have this new option to experience MLB Network through direct-to-consumer streaming,” MLB Network president Bill Morningstar said. “Going this direction allows us to significantly expand our reach to fans and gives them more choices on how they want to watch the Network’s Emmy Award-winning coverage.”

Current and future MLB.TV paid subscribers can stream MLB Network for the remainder of this season at no additional cost. Local blackout rules will still be enforced for live games on MLB Network.

This is great news for cord cutters as they now have one more option to watch live MLB Network without paying for cable TV.
