NEW ID, Asia’s leading FAST service company, has announced the launch of its specialized K-content platform, BINGE Korea, on Roku. This expansion makes NEW ID the first Asian company to enter the FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) and AVOD (Ad-supported Video on Demand) business.
BINGE Korea offers a wide range of Korean content, including K-pop, dramas, movies, variety shows, kids’ programming, food, and pets. With the addition of FAST live broadcast channels and AVOD services, viewers in North America can now enjoy both live and on-demand K-content on a single platform.
NEW ID’s entry into the U.S. streaming market is supported by partnerships with over 30 top platforms worldwide, including Samsung, LG, Pluto TV, Plex, and now Roku. This collaboration ensures that North American viewers have easy access to premium Korean content.
The BINGE Korea TV app on Roku offers an extensive library of K-content and plans to integrate NEW ID’s ‘Shoppable TV’ technology, which uses AI analysis to provide customized content recommendations.
In the company’s press release, NEW ID CEO Park Joon-Kyung stated, “We are pleased to offer both live channels and VOD services so that U.S. viewers can enjoy premium K-content. We will continue to strive to make Korean content easily accessible through global platforms.”
Roku is a leading streaming platform that connects users to the content they love while enabling content publishers to build and monetize large audiences. With The Roku Channel, viewers have access to a diverse lineup of over 80,000 on-demand movies and programs, more than 400 live linear television channels, and premium subscription offerings. The Roku Channel is available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
