One of the main issues for sports fans cutting the cord has always been regional sports networks, the so-called RSNs. Recently Sinclair launched in-market streaming options for its Bally Sports Networks. Now the YES Network RSN will reportedly launch an in-market streaming service in March of 2023.

This idea is not new, as the President and Chairman of YES Network said in July of 2022 that a direct-to-consumer product was in the works. Now the NY Post says the service has a tentative launch date of March 30th, 2023. (Subject to change.) Reportedly YES Network wants to go live in time for the majority of the 2023 MLB season.

Amazon owns a 15% stake in the network. Amazon already airs some Yankees’ home games. It is possible that Amazon could power this new service or offer it as an Amazon Channels option allowing you to watch the YES network directly through your Amazon Prime Video app.
