Yellowstone‘s historical prequel is making history at Paramount+, with the biggest original premiere in the streamer’s history.

The Season 2 premiere of 1923, which aired on February 23, had 5.4 million viewers. That’s a jump from 2.2 million viewers that tuned in to the premiere of the first season.

1923 is the prequel to Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone. In the second season of the series, Dutton Ranch is struggling with the harsh winter weather, along with threats to the family. Spencer fights to get home to his family in Montana while Alexandra is on her own journey to get back to Spencer.

1923 stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, alongside Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton and Jennifer Carpenter.
