Recently we learned that Sony is shutting down its live TV streaming service PlayStation Vue. The good news is PlayStation Vue will not close down until the end of January 2020, but many have already started to jump ship to a new streaming service. If you are a PlayStation Vue subscriber, you may want to stick around with PlayStation Vue until it shuts down.
When Sony announced it will be shutting down PlayStation Vue in January, they also announced that December will be the last time they bill PlayStation Vue subscribers. This means that you will get January for free until the service shuts down. Exactly how long you will get for free depends on when your renewal date is. For example, if you renew on January 1, 2020, you will get the full month of January for free, but if your renewal date is January 25, you only get a few free days of the service.
If you are a PlayStation Vue subscriber, it may be a good time to start looking around for a new streaming service for when PlayStation Vue shuts down. Sadly, Sony is no longer accepting new PlayStation Vue subscribers. So, if you are not already a subscriber you are out of luck.
