Where to Watch WWE Premium Live Events

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is the world’s largest professional wrestling promotion and has become the pinnacle of pro wrestling in the United States. The promotion went from local wrestling territory to global media and entertainment company since its founding in 1953.

Vince McMahon has been the head honcho of the company since 1982 after purchasing the company from his father Vincent J. McMahon. The younger McMahon is credited with the company’s expansion, thanks to his “ruthless aggression,” by going national and competing with other regional territories that existed throughout the country.

In April of 2023, McMahon and WWE made a deal with Endeavor to merge with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) into a single entity. The deal is set to be worth $9.3 billion and McMahon will serve as executive chairman of the new entity, while Endeavor has majority ownership.

As WWE searches for new media deals heading into 2024 for their flagship shows Raw and SmackDown, one of their biggest current deals is with Peacock, which is a 5-year deal worth more than $1 billion that made the streamer the home of WWE Network in the United States.

As part of the Peacock deal, the WWE Universe can find the following In the dedicated section for WWE on Peacock:

  • Every PPV event from the last calendar year
  • Every WCW and ECW pay-per-view event in history
  • Current seasons of WWE original series including Steve Austin’s The Broken Skull Sessions, WWE Chronicle, and WWE Icons
  • Weekly episodes of NXT the day after they air
  • Replays of RAW and SmackDown 30 days after air
  • Documentaries including Undertaker: The Last Ride, WWE 24, and WWE Untold
  • Reality series including Total Bellas
  • Collections of featured series
  • Playlists featuring current Superstars

WWE pay-per-views are now called “premium live events” as the company has transitioned away from the traditional PPV model. From the Big 5 (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank) to smaller shows like Backlash, and their developmental brand WWE NXT events, fans can stream them all live for no additional charge with Peacock.
