Steve Harvey has made his transition from stand-up comedy to game show host Family Feud to now making a foray into arbitration-based reality court show, Judge Steve Harvey.
Harvey’s court show first aired on January 4, 2022, and has gone on to become a hit show for ABC. What sets it apart from other court shows, Harvey’s airs in primetime and airs a new episode weekly, similar to a sitcom, as most court shows air Monday through Friday.
Being that it’s comedy base, Judge Steve Harvey has a looser approach compared to other court shows like Judge Judy. Each episode features Rubin Evin at the beginning of the show telling the audience to rise and Nancy Price serves as bailiff of the show.
Plus, Harvey makes his verdicts by using his gut feelings and logic instead of the code of law like traditional court shows. After he slams his gavel, he’ll finish with his catchphrase: “And that’s the way I see it!”
