AT&T TV NOW logoWGN America will be added to the AT&T TV NOW and AT&T TV lineup at the end of October. This will mark the first time that WGN will be available on a live TV streaming service.

WGN was acquired by Nexstar when the company closed on its purchase of Tribune Media Company for $6.4 billion this week.

In an article from Deadline, Nexstar CEO Perry Sook said this about the addition of the channel: “Our game plan is to operate the heck out of it. We think, with television stations that reach 63% of the U.S., we can be helpful in promoting the channel,” adding that the network would be available on AT&T TV in October. AT&T has previously confirmed that networks on AT&T TV would also be available on AT&T TV NOW.

No exact date has been announced for the channel addition to AT&T TV NOW or AT&T TV.
