Warner Bros. Discovery’s New Max Sports Tier Will Stream Live Sports Even If You Get Max From Amazon

Earlier this month Warner Bros. Discovery launched a live sports add-on for Max will stream live sports on its service through the Bleacher Report Sports Add-On tier. The add-on will be free for a limited time and will later be a paid service.

When the service launched, many readers asked if it would work through other services or only through the Max app. We asked Warner Bros. Discovvery and they confirmed that live sports will stream through Max no matter where you get it even if you sign up through Amazon Channels.

What will the new sports add-on cost?

The Bleacher Report tier will launched on October 5, 2023, and will be available for free to all customers through February 29, 2024. Afterward, the add-on will cost $9.99 a month, and is available on all tiers.

What sporting events will be included in this package?

The package includes live games from the MLB, NHL, NBA, U.S. Soccer, the NCAA March Madness tournament, and more. With this free preview to all paying Max customers, you will be able to enjoy most of the 2023-2024 NBA season and the MLB playoffs. This will include all games that air on TNT and TBS.

Will Max offer exclusive games?

At this time, Max will only offer games that are aired on TNT and TBS. Unlike Peacock with its exclusive sporting events for now Max is just offering games that will also be on cable TV or streaming services like Hulu + Live TV.
