Do you have an old TiVo DVR you want to update? Now may be the right time to upgrade it.
For a limited time TiVo is letting current lifetime service owners transfer their lifetime subscription to a new TiVo Bolt for just $99, which is far less expensive than its typical $549.99 deal. However, the deal is only good until April 10, 2017.
Here are the details from the TiVo site:

The TiVo all-in service plan is regularly $550. You save $450 when you buy a new TiVo BOLT and transfer your lifetime service for just $99!
Only TiVo Series2/Series3, HD and HDXL DVRs with Product Lifetime service that have connected to the TiVo service between 3/28/16 and 3/28/17 qualify. Your current TiVo DVR will be deactivated 10 days after you connect the new TiVo BOLT to the TiVo service.?
Now that does raise some concern that Tivo owners will no longer be able to transfer these subscriptions after April 10th 2017. In the past you could try to call in and sometimes get it transferred to a new box. Now it seems like it could be a dead deal. No way to know right now so make sure to get it if you want to upgrade.
