Walmart is officially closing 15 of its retail stores across 11 states this month, according to a report from Business Insider.
Here is a quick breakdown by state as to what stores are clsoing. Arkansas (1 store), Georgia (2), Florida (1), Hawaii (1), Illinois (3), Indiana (1), Minnesota (1), New Mexico (1), Oregon (2), Texas (1), Washington (1), Washington, D.C. (1), and Wisconsin (1).

Recently, Walmart has been pushing for a more virtual presence, highlighting their online shopping features and delivery services. Walmart CFO John David Rainey stated earlier this month: “Today, the vast majority of our overall profits are attributable to in-store, brick-and-mortar in the U.S. If you fast forward five years, we are much less dependent on that as an income stream than some of these other faster-growing parts of our business.”
