Recently Walmart’s Onn brand got out of the streaming player market and instead focusing on smart TV. Now thanks to an FTC filing spotted by Android TV Guide, we have learned that Walmart has a 4K Android TV dongle in the works.

Details are still thin on the device. Look for it to be similar to other Walmart Onn Android TV streaming players. Just slightly more powerful compared to older models.

The question now is why Walmart is getting back into the streaming market after exiting it in 2023. Increasingly Smart TVs have been replacing the need for streaming players.

It is also interesting to see this as an Android TV player, as Google has slowly been moving to Google TV. There have even been rumors that Google will discontinue Android TV in favor of Google TV. Meaning this may be one of the last major Android TV streaming players to come out before everything becomes Google TV.
