Last year, Walmart launched several new Google TV devices, including a 4K streaming player under its Onn brand. Now it looks like a newly upgraded version is in the works according to a report from 91Mobiles.
The device was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website. This website tracks approved Bluetooth devices approval.
The device will use Bluetooth 5.2 and is described as an “Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device Google TV.” Past that name and the approval to use Bluetooth 5.2, it is unknown what I knew about this device.
The 2024 Google TV 4K streaming player from Onn found a large following with its $19.99 price point. That price point and some nice speed made Walmart’s 4K Google TV Onn streaming player a must-have at that price.
Right now, we don’t know when this new device will be released, but seeing Walmart start getting the approvals needed suggests it will likely come out this year.
