Vizio smart televisions are the latest place to find both the Disney Bundle, which includes Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+, as well as the ESPN App.
The apps are now available on Vizio’s own smart TV interface, so customers don’t need a separate platform like Roku and Fire TV. While those boxes have grown in popularity over the years, there are still a number of consumers who prefer just accessing their various services directly through the TV.
Disney, meanwhile, gets a large audience in Vizio customers to sell its services. The company is banking on people to jump on the ESPN App, which offers select games and sports programming. Customers with a cable package can also use the app to log in to watch livestreams of networks like ESPN 2 and ESPN 3.
“With our expanded relationship with Disney, VIZIO audiences can now enjoy the ESPN app, ESPN+, and the Disney Bundle Trio, offering a wide selection of live sports and entertainment,” said Chris Tanquary, senior director of business development at Vizio. “ESPN has helped revolutionize sports storytelling, and we’re excited to bring live sports from the best leagues and biggest tournaments as well as their ground-breaking originals to VIZIO’s millions of users.”
Vizio notes that the ESPN app is featured on the smart TV platform’s custom-curated Football Kickoff collection just in time for the NFL and college football to get going.
