VIZIO announced today that Adam Townsend has been named Chief Financial Officer of the company. As CFO, Townsend will work toward expanding VIZIO’s presence in the connected TV marketplace with the VIZIO SmartCast platform and VIZIO Ads.

Prior to joining the team at VIZIO, Townsend served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Showtime. Previously, he held roles at CBS Corporation, including Executive Vice President, Corporate Finance and Investor Relations.
