Vizio is known for providing millions of households easy access to their favorite movies, television shows, sports games, new, kids’ programming, and other entertainment options. Today, Vizio launched a new free, interactive streaming shopping service.
The world leaders in multiplatform video commerce, QVC+ and HSN+, are now available on Vizio’s Smart TVs. This is the first Vizio living streaming “fully shoppable” app and allows customers to buy products on the same platform alongside multiple live channels as well as video on demand.
In a press release earlier today, Chris Tanquary, Senior Director of Business Development at Vizio said:
“We believe that shopping is an integral part of our daily lives, and we are committed to bringing convenience and innovation to Vizio Smart TVs. With the addition of the QVC+ and HSN+ shopping app, Vizio users will have seamless access to a world of curated products and shopping experiences in both live and on-demand formats.”
QVC+ and HSN+ boast over 50 hours a day of live video commerce programming by combining their five linear broadcast channels with an additional three digital-only linear channels. With the new Vizio shopping app, consumers can access around 200 original streaming-only shows including In the Spirit with Lindsay and Curtis, Design School with Ballard Designs, and My Best Friend’s Kitchen with Gaby Dalkin.
“QVC+ and HSN+ bring our most comprehensive livestream shopping experience to Vizio Smart TV users. We already have many fans enjoying QVC and HSN on Vizio WatchFree+. Now, Vizio users can access our live, on-demand, and streaming-only content all together in one place, making it even easier to discover and shop the products they love,” said David Apostolico, Senior Vice President of Platform Strategy, Development & Distribution, vCommerce Ventures at Qurate Retail Group.
The new app will be prominently displayed on Vizio’s home page for the next three months to help expand QVC+ HSN+ exposure. The streaming services reach over 100 million internet-connected homes over the web in the United States and the app has been downloaded more than 9 million times. Worldwide, QVC+ and HSN+’s linear channels reach more than 200 million households.
