Verizon is Expanding Its 5G Home Internet Service Into Over 20 New Cities

Have you been waiting to get Verizon’s 5G home internet service? Good news today Verizon announced it has expanded in over 20 new cities that will now be able to get 5G home internet.

According to Verizon, its new 5G Home Internet service is now available in over 40 million American households with this rollout. This includes new areas in Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania.

Here are the areas getting 5G Home Internet from Verizon:

In Ohio:

  • In the rural town of Chagrin Falls, the new site provides upgraded coverage in the residential areas of Auburn Township and southwest of the LaDue Reservoir.
  • In Columbia Station, the upgraded service covers the residential and commercial area of Columbia Station around OH-82 and the Boone Rd. intersection.
  • In Cuyahoga Falls, the new site boosts service along Steels Corners Rd. and State Rd. (OH-8), east of the Blossom Music Center.
  • In the rural town of Dalton, customers will see upgraded service along US-30 and the western part of Dalton.
  • In Delaware, the new site adds coverage to Olentangy Berlin High School in fast-growing Delaware County.
  • In the rural town of Grafton, the upgraded service covers SR-83, northwest of Medina, OH.
  • In Hubbard, customers will benefit from improved service along I-80 between Hubbard, OH and West Middlesex, PA.
  • In the rural town of Litchfield, the site provides upgraded coverage along SR-83 west of Medina, OH.
  • In Ravenna, the upgraded service covers OH-88 between the rural town of Ravenna and OH-303 in northern Portage County.
  • In Rootstown, the new site improves service along I-76 and RT-44 and on the Northeast Ohio Medical University campus.
  • In Sunbury, the site boosts service in town including Big Walnut schools.
  • In Youngstown, the upgraded service covers Boardman High School and the Southwoods Commons shopping plaza.

In Indiana:

  • In Francesville, the new site brings added coverage to the rural area north of Lafayette, IN and to the east of Rensselaer, IN.
  • In Lee, a rural town about 10 miles east of Rensselaer, the site will upgrade coverage along US 421 and SR 114 between Francesville and Monon.
  • In Madison, the upgraded service brings coverage to IN-56 to the north of Madison, IN, along the Ohio River, to the industrial park in North Madison and nearby Clifty Falls State Park.
  • In Odon, the new site located northwest of the city of Odon, IN and to the west of the Crane Naval Base, provides coverage and capacity to the cities of Odon, Raglesville, Farlen and Crane, and the rural area between I-69 and the Crane Naval Base along SR 58 and US-231.
  • In Richmond, the new site provides capacity to the immediate west of Richmond, IN along US-40 and covers residential neighborhoods in the town of East Haven, as well as Clear Creek Park.
  • In Warsaw, the new site provides additional capacity to the North Eastern portion of Warsaw, IN covering the Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, Harrison Elementary School and shops along Route 30 passing through Warsaw.

In Pennsylvania:

  • In Irwin, the new site provides upgraded coverage along the PA Turnpike (I-76) between Irwin and the Pittsburgh interchanges.
  • In the rural town of New Alexandria, the new site provides upgraded service along US-22 and US-119.
  • In North East, the upgraded service covers I-90 northeast of Erie, PA and south of North East, PA.
  • In Punxsutawney, known for its annual Groundhog Day celebration held each February 2, the new site boosts service along US-119 between rural Punxsutawney and Sykesville, PA. That means the thousands of attendees and international media outlets who have Verizon service and visit the town for the annual weather prediction by the groundhog Punxsutawney Phil will be covered.
  • In Salisbury, the new site adds coverage to the rural town of Salisbury and US-219 north of the Maryland border.

With Verizon’s 5G Home Internet, you get to pick from two options.  Both plans offer the same speeds, but there are some differences in the bonus you can get.

Verizon’s 5G Home starts at $35, offers a Wi-Fi 6 router, and comes with a 2-year price guarantee.

Verizon’s 5G Home Plus starts at $45 and offers a Wi-Fi 6 router, and comes with a 3-year price guarantee along with Verizon’s unlimited cloud backup. Plus, you can get 12 months of Walmart+ for free, along with $300 off a Verizon Stream TV Soundbar or Pro.
