If you are a Verizon Wireless customer with an older Unlimited plan, you need to get ready to pay more soon.

First spotted by the YouTube channel Tech Life Channel, Verizon is going to be adding a new $2 a month free called “rate plan adjustment” fee. This fee will help cover the cost of maintaining older plans.

This will only affect older Unlimited plans from Verizon like Beyond Unlimited, Go Unlimited, and more.

It seems that Verizon wants to push customers into their new unlimited plans. Verizon has repeatedly said they hope to move customers off of older phone plans to newer phone plans. Adding a new fee to Verizon wireless plans is just one more way to encourage customers to move to newer unlimited plans.

Verizon is not alone in raising its prices as inflation grows. T-Mobile and AT&T have also added new fees or changed their plans recently to raise revenue.

Would this new $2-a-month fee make you reconsider your Verizon plan? Leave us a comment and let us know.
