Today Verizon announced their 4th quarter 2022 subscriber numbers. According to the report, Verizon Fios lost 339,000 TV subscribers in 2022. This comes as Verizon Fios residential video customers decreased by 281,000 in 2021. Verizon Fios did add about 199,000 internet customers in 2022.

“Consumer Fios revenue for the fourth quarter 2022 was $2.9 billion, flat year
over year, and $11.6 billion for the full year 2022, up 0.6%, compared to 2021.
Consumer Fios internet customer growth continues to fuel total Fios revenue
and is offset primarily by the decline in video connections, consistent with
trends we see across the industry” Verizon said in a statement on their website.

DISH recently announced that it has lost 268,000 subscribers in the 4th quarter of 2022. This works out to be about 2,913 subscribers canceling their accounts every day.
