Last week, Verizon and Nexstar were in negotiations for a new agreement that would keep popular network programming from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and The CW live for Verizon Fios customers. Over the weekend, the two companies reached an agreement for a new distribution contract in time to not disrupt service for customers.

“We’re happy to share that we’ve reached an agreement with Nexstar to continue showing its channels in your Fios TV lineup,” Verizon shared on its website. “We appreciate your patience and support, and are very happy to continue to serve you as a Fios TV customer.”

If the agreement had not been made before the deal expired at the end of the day on Friday, October 24, the following stations would have been affected:

  • WAVY (Norfolk): NBC, The Nest, getTV, Defy TV
