Earlier today DIRECTV confirmed to Cord Cutters News that DIRECTV via internet would also offer 4K later this year. Now DIRECTV has confirmed that DIRECTV STREAM will also offer 4K streaming at the same time.
DIRECTV via internet and DIRECTV STREAM will offer a 4K option later on in 2023 but no date has been announced yet. This is great news for DIRECTV customers who want to stream 4K video.
4K streaming has become increasingly popular as Fubo and YouTube TV have made it a major selling point.
Currently, we do not know the pricing if any DIRECTV will charge for 4K. Currently, YouTube TV charges $9.99 a month for 4K and some other features. Fubo offers 4K included with its current packages.
No dates have been announced for DIRECTV via internet new 4K option at this time. As we learn more, we will post updates.
