Paramount and the UFC just turned up the global volume on live combat sports, bringing the Octagon to more international markets starting next year. The duo announced a seven-year, multi-territory expansion that brings UFC media rights to Paramount+ subscribers across Latin America and Australia. The deal extends the streamer’s role as the home for every marquee UFC event and Fight Night in those regions, at no additional cost to subscribers.

What This Means for Fight Fans

Paramount+ will stream all 13 numbered UFC pay-per-view events and 30 Fight Nights annually in the newly added territories, mirroring the exclusive U.S. rights deal announced earlier this year. The domestic seven-year, $7.7 billion deal and rights expansion make Paramount+ a one-stop shop for UFC action across multiple continents and a major play to grow live-sports subscribers and deepen regional engagement. Details on the first set of events to stream in each market will be announced in coming weeks.

“The partnership with Paramount has already been incredible and it just keeps getting bigger and better,” said UFC President and CEO Dana White. “They are now taking on new territories like Latin America and Australia and this thing is just going to continue to grow. It just shows you how aggressive they are with this business, and I love it. I can’t wait to continue working together and building the next generation of talent all over the world.”

More Combat Sports Amid Corporate Restructure

Paramount+ is also beefing up its combat sports slate beyond the Octagon. The streamer recently stepped inside the ring, and struck a long-term agreement to be the exclusive home of Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing. Subscribers will see boxing cards on the platform starting in early 2026. The upstart promotion has already secured well-known names for its broadcast teams, including the addition of Max Kellerman. With the combination of UFC and Zuffa, Paramount+ is becoming a significant streaming destination for fight fans.

“Delivering premium UFC programming to audiences on a global scale remains a top priority for Paramount,” said Cindy Holland, Chair of Direct-To-Consumer, Paramount. “We are thrilled to expand upon the historic offering of UFC content for Paramount+ subscribers across all plans to more passionate and engaged fans around the world.”

These sports investments arrive against a backdrop of major corporate shifts at Paramount. The media giant’s transformation after the Skydance acquisition has accelerated content spending, but it’s also led to large workforce reductions. Reports indicate the combined Paramount-Skydance company is cutting jobs, with as many as 1,000 roles in an initial wave and broader cuts of up to 3,000 employees. The layoffs and merger dynamics are an important part of the context for the company’s aggressive content and rights strategy.

For fight fans who live in the United States, Latin America, or Australia, Paramount+ will be your home for UFC starting in 2026, and Paramount+ subscribers can expect more combat sports content with the addition of Zuffa Boxing. The rights expansion is another showcase of how streaming platforms are using high-value live sports to compete globally, even as corporate restructuring reshapes the companies behind the services.
