Tubi TV Strikes Partnership to Stream New & Classic Anime

e4da92b0-00cc-4dab-a74b-cccf46095259Tubi TV, streaming the largest library of popular movies and TV series free-to-users, and Sentai Filmworks, a leading global supplier of anime and anime merchandise, today announced the a deal to bring several popular new Spring anime series are coming to Tubi TV following its Japanese air date. Additionally, several classic hit anime series, including Gatchaman and Clannad, will be available for users to stream in their entirety any time for free. The deal enables Sentai Filmworks’ anime library to stream on Tubi TV on connected platforms including Apple TV, Xbox One & Xbox 360, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Samsung televisions – in addition to iOS and Android mobile devices and the web.

The deal includes two Sentai Filmworks titles that will stream two days after airing in Japan (Onigiri and RIN-NE 2), three that will stream via nearcast 15 days after airing in Japan (Bakuon!!, Tanaka-kun Is Always Listless, and Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto), and one title that will air 31 days after Japan (Flying Witch). In addition, many enduring classic TV series will be available to stream on demand (Angel Beats, Gatchaman, Mezzo, Bodacious Space Pirates, Persona 4: The Animation, Clannad, Clannad After Story, and Dream Eater Merry).

Tubi TV has partnerships with over 200 diverse content producers, including MGM, Lionsgate, Paramount Pictures, and Starz Digital. Since announcing MGM and Lionsgate’s investment and licensing agreement in November 2015, Tubi TV’s audience has grown over 140% in the last five months and the platform expects to see strong growth continue through 2016 and beyond.
