Tubi & The Black List Announce Finalists for “To Be Commissioned” Initiative to Develop 5 New Tubi Original Movies

Tubi, the popular ad-supported streaming service, has announced the five finalists for its groundbreaking “To Be Commissioned” initiative in partnership with The Black List, a platform known for highlighting exceptional unproduced screenplays. This initiative aims to discover and champion diverse stories from both emerging and established writers, bringing them to Tubi’s massive audience of 81 million monthly active users according to a report from Deadline.

From 2,000 to 5

Out of over 2,000 submissions, five screenplays have been selected for further development, with the ultimate goal of receiving a green light for production and distribution from Tubi. The Black List will serve as executive producer for the chosen films.
