Tubi, the ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox Corporation, announced today that it has surpassed 97 million monthly active users and streamed over 10 billion hours of content in 2024. This marks a significant milestone for the platform, which offers the world’s largest collection of free movies and TV episodes.

Tubi’s success can be attributed to its focus on providing a premium entertainment experience that is completely free and accessible to everyone. With a vast library of content, including over 300 original titles, Tubi caters to a diverse audience, particularly Gen Z and Millennials.

“Tubi’s momentum is growing as audiences increasingly value a premium entertainment experience that is also 100% free, fun and reflective of culture,” said Anjali Sud, CEO of Tubi. “Our strategy is simple yet powerful: put viewers first by offering unique stories from unique storytellers, a vast selection of content to choose from and a delightful experience across devices. We let our viewers guide us and obsess over their engagement, and we are seeing the results.”

Tubi’s commitment to original programming has also been a key driver of its growth. The platform has seen significant success with Tubi Originals, with nearly 1 in 4 viewers watching at least one original title. The young adult romance, “Sidelined: The QB and Me,” broke records for Tubi, attracting the most viewers and new viewers of any title in the platform’s history during its premiere week. Several Tubi Original films have also made it onto Variety’s Streaming Originals Chart, demonstrating the quality and popularity of these productions.

Looking ahead, Tubi has a strong lineup of new original premieres planned for the upcoming quarter. These include:

  • “The Thicket”: A dark Western thriller starring Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis.
  • “The Z-Suite”: A workplace comedy featuring Lauren Graham.
  • “Boarders”: The return of the hit comedy-drama.
  • “We Got Time Today”: Episodes hosted by sports legend Deion Sanders and Emmy Award-winning media personality Rocsi Diaz.

Beyond content, Tubi continues to invest in its advertising technology and measurement capabilities. The platform has integrated with leading ad tech providers like FreeWheel and AudienceXpress, offering advertisers innovative ad formats and opportunities to reach Tubi’s growing audience of cord-cutters and cord-nevers. With the majority of Fortune 100 brands now advertising on Tubi, the platform has become a significant player in the ad-supported streaming market.

Tubi’s impressive growth and strategic focus on content, audience engagement, and advertising technology position it for continued success in the rapidly evolving streaming landscape. As more viewers seek free, high-quality entertainment options, Tubi is well-positioned to capture an even larger share of the market.
