Free streaming services are becoming even more popular as cord cutters look for cheaper options. Now according to Nielsen’s monthly platform rankings, Tubi, Pluto TV, and The Roku Channel are now all in the most watched streaming services in November 2023.
According to the report from Nielsen, Tubi had 1.4 percent of all streaming traffic, The Roku Channel had 1 percent, and Pluto TV had 0.8 percent of all streaming traffic. Pluto TV was the first free ad-supported streaming service to be ranked in the top 10 by Nielsen. These numbers have held very consistent over the last few months as free streaming continues to dominate.

YouTube: 9 percent
Netflix: 7.4 percent
Prime Video: 3.4 percent
Hulu: 2.7 percent
Disney+: 1.9 percent
Tubi: 1.4 percent
Peacock: 1.3 percent
Max: 1.2 percent
Roku Channel: 1.1 percent
Paramount+: 09 percent
Pluto TV: 0.8 percent

Over all the top 11 most popular streaming services have remained mostly unchanged recently. Some minor changes like Prime Video jumping Hulu over the last few months. We have also seen The Roku Channel move up over Paramount+.
Increasingly as cord cutters look to save money they have been turning to free streaming services. This trend has helped Tubi, The Roku Channel, and Pluto TV all compete with some of the largest paid streaming services on the market.
